Pamela Shaw

Pam (PhD MCIP RPP) is community planner with more than 25 years of experience in planning and public consultation. She also teaches at Vancouver Island University (Geography), is a VIU elected Senator, and a Council Member for the Planning Institute of BC.

Pam has had her own consulting practice for more than a decade and focuses on community planning and regulatory processes. Pam’s first textbook “A Field Guide to Communication” was published in 2008 with Oxford University Press. Her second book “Boxed In: Searching for the Public Good in Urban Planning” is under development with UBC Press (anticipated publication late 2012).

She lives in Lantzville with her husband, two kids, two dogs and two cats.
